Eastern Front Fans,

Patch 1.600 is now released! After a vast amount of discussing, debating and arguing over these six months, we've made several changes to the Soviets that we hope you'll enjoy:

-First of all, there is no more munitions upkeep... yes you read it correctly - no more munitions upkeep for Soviet Light vehicles, Weapon teams or Tanks, meaning that you will not get +0 munition income when you already own sectors producing the munitions resource.

-Second, abilities now cost munitions. Once the upkeep was abolished, the next step was to set up a munitions cost for every ability. Hope you enjoy spending your hard earned munitions now.

-Third, almost every single map featured in Eastern Front was reworked, and while they can still be changed in the future to make them even more balanced, we hope you like them, specially the new Zhytomyr and Berlin maps.

-Fourth, Soviet balance was hit hard, after hundreds of games there is a larger list of balance changes, bug fixes and changes than in the previous major patch; also, several 2D/3D art elements were tweaked in order to make them feel more like a Relic faction, let alone that it plays more balanced than before.

-Fifth, Jagdtiger is back as reward unit of the Jagdpanther and Shtrafnie Troops are back as support unit for the Red Tide.



This update is the result of six months hard work and is probably going to be one of the biggest updates ever made for the Soviets, so we hope you like it. Remember to check the changelog to know what has been changed since the last version. We also have some other goodies for you:

-Cranialwizard, one of the members of our Balance Team, has finished his Guide for Eastern Front which will surely help new players to familiarize themselves with the Eastern Front content.

-Rizz has made a web guide for the Soviet units on Eastern Front, it contains the main features of each unit like population costs, reinforcement costs and among other properties that an average player would appreciate.

-Rizz finished a chatbox add-on for the launcher, you can use it by clicking the button next to "Check for Updates". You need an EF account in order to use it.

-Eastern Front now has support for Simplified Chinese texts, support that was supposed to be released two patches ago (our apologies), so the player can choose if he want to use Traditional or Simplified Chinese translations. You can download the installer from here.
